When to Take DUKORAL® to Prevent Travellers’ Diarrhea Caused by ETEC

2 doses at least 1 week (up to 6 weeks) apart
starting no later than 2 weeks before travel

DUKORAL® is the only oral vaccine available that provides you with protection against travellers’ diarrhea caused by ETEC (Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli). DUKORAL® is suitable for most adults, and may be prescribed to children as young as 2 years old.

DUKORAL® is a drinkable vaccine. A full immunization requires 2 doses taken at least 1 week (up to 6 weeks) apart, with the last dose taken at least 1 week before travel.

It is important that you take DUKORAL® at the right time.

You should take two doses of DUKORAL® at least 1 week (up to 6 weeks) apart. Protection starts about 1 week after the second dose and lasts for about 3 months. Make sure that you take the last dose of vaccine at least 1 week before leaving on your trip.
